Zero to Multiple Ideas
Are you looking for a way to organize your ideas?
It's easy to get overwhelmed by the idea of writing a story, but that doesn't mean you should be afraid of it.
If you've got an idea for a story, and want to bring it to life in words, here are 33 short storytelling prompts that will help you zero in on exactly what you want to say:
1. A single word or phrase that sums up your story.
2. A single moment that encapsulates your story.
3. An image that conveys the essence of your story. (A picture is worth 1,000 words!)
4. A character who embodies a particular trait or personality trait that represents the essence of your story. (The best stories always have characters who embody the essence of their themes.)
5. A character who has a special relationship with another character in the story; for example, two characters who are siblings, rivals, or friends… whatever works best for your story!
6. A location where the action takes place; think about how this location could be represented by one or more sensory details: sights, sounds… smells too?
Take it, here is a guide!
